Carpe Diem!

Life is only as good as you make it.

We sometimes, keep looking back at our past as if we are chained to it. Oftentimes, we worry too much about the future; what we will eat, what we will drink, what we will wear, what will happen, etc. I am no stranger to anxiety. In fact, it is one of my bad habits that I need to get rid of. But thank God, I am slowly overcoming it day by day, step by step.

If you would die tomorrow, what is it that you really want to do today?

I would certainly spend my day with friends and loved ones. I will not waste even a second to worry about things that aren’t going to happen. I will make sure to enjoy the day. Be merry. Cry, if needed. Laugh out loud. You want me to be specific? If it would be my last day on earth, I will make amends. I will spend my time with the CFAI kids. Take photos. I will sing at the top of my lungs at a KTV. I will watch a memorable movie. Chat with my faraway friends via Whatsapp or Messenger, or send a letter. Watch the sunset/sunrise. Watch the stars and moon. Wait till dawn. I will be thankful for the life He’s given me. And when I think I have only minutes left to live, I will write it all down on my journal, not because I want someone to read it as a eulogy on my funeral, but because I want to write for the last time.

Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal. Live this day as if it were your last. The past is over and gone. The future is not guaranteed.

-Wayne Dyer

There are a lot of things you can do in a day besides worrying. Seize the day! Life is beautiful if you just look at it the other way. See the sun rise, hear the birds sing, watch the flowers bloom, dance in the rain. There is only today. Tomorrow is another day. Today is a gift that’s why it’s called present.

Sing like no one is listening, love like you’ve never been hurt, dance like nobody is watching, and live like it’s heaven on earth.

-Mark Twain
